Qualified from Bristol in 1983. After practising in Northamptonshire and Leicestershire spent a year working in New Zealand and travelling in Asia . He returned to become a partner in a practice in Leicester in 1988 and helped develop the practice with colleagues from a 4 person, 2 site, practice to a 22 vet, 4 site, mixed practice, now with a dedicated night service. Peter is an active clinician with particular interests in developing herd health preventative programmes for farmers and maintaining contact with all aspects of mixed practice. His predominant business interests are in business development, practice strategies and solutions to problems in practice and ultimately finding ways to develop the practice to suit both the changing needs of the client and the practice. He is past President of the British Cattle Veterinary Association and chaired the Strategic Review of BCVA in 1996, past BVA council representative and has produced several papers on practice development over the years.
